They would lose their head if it wasn’t attached to their body. Losing wallets, keys, credit cards regularly. I suffer from ADD but I’ve got a handle on it for the most part. I don’t constantly lose stuff any more for one thing. But I wonder how the hell these guys are so rich and successful when they can’t even function daily without losing or forgetting something. It almost makes me feel like there’s hope for people who struggle to stay organized.
Identifying the Problem
Are you constantly finding yourself losing track of important items like your keys, wallet, or credit cards? Do you struggle with staying organized in your daily life, impacting your productivity and success? You’re not alone in facing these challenges!
Understanding the Impact
Unorganized and forgetful tendencies can hinder your overall success and contribute to unnecessary stress and anxiety. It can lead to missed opportunities, delayed projects, and a chaotic lifestyle that affects your overall well-being.
Realization and Motivation
While observing successful business owners who face similar struggles, it’s not about being perfect but rather about finding ways to overcome these challenges and thrive. This realization can serve as a source of motivation for individuals seeking improvement in their organizational skills.

You do not understand the power of randomness, meaning there’s nothing special about a lot of successful people, beyond just luck.
They’re probably thinking of more interesting things. This doesn’t only happen to those that are rich & successful.
Is that ADD? Could very well be.
Focus on what’s important. Disregard of what’s trivial
I am one of the people you are talking about. I can say for myself that stuff just isn’t important until it is to me. I occupy my brain time with stuff that’s important to me, ie things that can make me more money or help my clients. That’s why I have employees for all the other stuff. Including an assistant who literally spends half her day finding stuff I’m looking for that became suddenly important to me….
The best way to build a business is to create systems around your weaknesses. I learned this from Ray Dalio’s Priciples book.
So you’re saying I have hope
Listen. You don’t have to attack me. If I knew where my keys were, I’d come slap you!
Einstein had his wife. It’s a symptom of adhd and thinking outside the box often leads to success but does not guarantee it.
Business men are notoriously absent minded. My dad and his side of the family are all in some form of retail and they all regularly misplace keys, forget datesX
, etc. I suspect it’s because they’re mindful of so many variables that the small stuff slips their mind.
Everyone’s insights have been very interesting.
I’ll give my 2 cents , Iam forever losing keys , and wallet and phone when I’m not attached to it .
I’m typically so focused on other things, I don’t think or may forget the “simple” stuff.
I do pretty well for myself and some may even I’m smart a little bit , but I will still call my girlfriend asking where xyz is between calls with lawyers and running a company.
That’s actually a thing. People with ADHD make great entrepreneurs
I’ve noticed that as well.
They are successful because they don’t pay attention to all of those little things and obsess about their business
Haha
I can relate.
I’m not a *rich* business owner, unfortunately.
But my first employee was the best with keeping track of where I left my stuff. When I was about to leave, she would casually say ‘bar’ because I left my car keys on the bar in the showroom.
Or wherever I left them that time, it changed a lot.
I bought some Samsung beepers for my keys and wallet from losing them all the time. Then the batteries died after like a month so I said fuck those. I’m married, though. She helps me find my stuff.
I am one of those people. My mind is on so many other things that remembering where I put my sunglasses comes really low on the list of priorities.
