Hey everyone! I’ve been feeling really down about my workplace lately and I could really use some advice and support. 🙁
So, I joined this team around 10 months ago and it’s been a complete disaster. From lack of work to personal collaborations taking over, I feel like I don’t belong here. And to top it off, there’s tension between me and the team lead. It’s like being stuck in a bad dream!
But I’m determined to turn things around and make the best out of this situation. Here’s what I think could help:
– Have a heart-to-heart conversation with the team lead to resolve the conflict
– Seek guidance from my manager on how to improve the situation
– Look for ways to showcase my skills and value to the team
– Explore opportunities for growth and development within the company
What do you all think? Any similar experiences or advice to share? Let’s support each other through this tough time! 💪 #WorkplaceSupport #GrowthMindset
What are you actively doing about this?
> Ever since I talked back, we aren’t on speaking terms, and he ignores me like the plague.
Yeah, this doesn’t fly. Anyone expected to work with each other **must** have polite lines of communication. There’s no way this would fly if I was the manager of this group.
> My manager is a nice person
Just because he’s nice doesn’t mean he’s good. You need to be proactive in this. How much of this have you shared with him?
I know this is your first job so these are fairly fresh concepts, but you absolutely get to influence how you’re treated in a workplace. No matter how right, wrong or indifferent the other parties are in the interactions, you still get a vote. And that applies to ALL companies you’ll work at, not just this one because I know the other parroted experience on this thread will be “Just leave”. That’s not always the right solution and if you’re about to do that anyway, might as well get some practice navigating difficult situations because they’re never going away.
Well you fucked up dude…… idk what advice you want here. Don’t say anything negative about your co workers.
