I’m going to be taking a sysadmin Udemy course as well as getting either a security cert or ccna. Skipping a+.
Which path you guys should recommend?
Where you do you work? Can I have your job?
Intuit thru teksystems. It’s financial related so there’s lots of downtime. Downside is no growth or raises since its contract but you can save up pretty good money and it pays more than any other jobs here in Orlando. It’s remote too. I feel I got lucky with this role.
Which sysadmin courses were you looking at?
Im in Orlando as well. Sys admins are paid decent here usually 65kmin and network engineers will be the 75k-85k range starting out from what I regularly see. Lots of good government contract options here too but I see and hear lots of companies dropping wfh lately here
I’m in Orlando too and you make more than me. I’m only a level one help desk tech at an MSP but I only make $22. Work hybrid. Grass is always greener man.
Luckily after earning the net+ and sec+ I should be able to get a decent raise and move to level two “soon” should be around $27-30 at current workplace.
Still applying for better opportunities here and there even though I like my job/coworkers.
Is it remote at least?
