Hey there!
Three months back, I applied for a job and was super thrilled about it. However, the hiring manager decided to go with an internal candidate, so the process got halted. Surprisingly, the recruiter just reached out to inform me about another opportunity on the same team. Could this be a typical occurrence in the recruitment process?
Let’s discuss! #RecruitmentExperience #SecondChanceInterview
Yes this happens all the timeÂ
Yes
Yup they’ll probs give you a few calls about different interviews since your in the system
Yes! It means you were a good candidate and they hopefully see you working for them in the future; they’re just trying to find the right fit for your skills. Keep working with them!
Pulling from my candidate pool is when I’m most likely to get someone a job, it’s much better to have people to submit the day a position opens than to source for the job and have candidates join the interview process a week or two after others have.
Not only is this common, it’s our bread and butter if you ask me.
Very common. External recruiter here. I’ve also seen one role become two because they don’t want to lose the candidate.
This is a sign of a well run company.
