Hey everyone! So, I just wanted to share something really unsettling that happened to me recently. 🙁 I received some nude pictures of my husband when he was a minor, sent by his ex-girlfriend. It’s not only creepy but also potentially illegal and very distressing to my husband who has anxiety issues.
Here are some points to consider and possible solutions:
– Report the incident to the authorities: Contact local law enforcement or the FBI if necessary to report the distribution of child pornography.
– Seek legal advice: Consult with a lawyer who specializes in cybercrimes to understand your legal options and how to protect yourselves.
– Protect your online presence: Be cautious about what you share online and adjust your privacy settings to prevent similar incidents in the future.
– Support your husband: Offer emotional support to your husband during this difficult time, and consider seeking therapy if needed.
Let’s discuss what steps we can take to address this situation and prevent it from happening to others. Share your thoughts and suggestions below!
Is this a real female or does he believe he’s being sextorted again from someone in another country posing as a female?
Um, unless I am misreading, this ‘blackmailer”‘ is the one in possession of illegal material. Doesn’t seem like your husband did anything wrong or blackmailable? So this is stressful but what is the the threat here, that they send pics to other people? It will only make them look crazy and further compound their crimes. I would go to the police and tell the person you were doing so, is my instinct.

Sending it to you can be one of several felonies in Texas. Probably also in Washington. You can certainly make a report with law enforcement and have them follow up on it. Most agencies have digital forensics investigators who can do a pretty good job of assembling a case from phone downloads and subpoenas.
Your boyfriend has not committed any crime, she has.

Simple you contact the police! She is guilty of doing child pornography. Whether he was older now or not doesn’t matter, when the picture was taken he was a child! The sooner you do it the better! Show her where the power really lies!!
File a report with NCMEC. There are resources directly on this page for attorneys, how to handle being exposed, as well as getting things removed from online. https://www.missingkids.org/home
The report form also asks for the person(s) committing the crime (if known) and the person(s) victimized by the crime (if known). Reports are looked into and shared with LEA’s such as the FBI.
Report it to the FBI immediately as that’s the protocol when receiving cp. Do this with a lawyer as fast as you can. Do not let her spin a story. They will also handle the blackmail and extortion.
Edit: DO NOT CALL THE POLICE. It’s not their jurisdiction and god knows what they will do. Call the FBI!!!
She’s distributing child porn. Call the police and file a report. It doesn’t matter how old he is currently, in the photo he’s a minor.
They dated but never met? Giving her the negative attention she craves will only encourage her to do more. Guaranteed. Is it worth spending thousands on an attorney? If yes, file a police report and get out the checkbook to retain an attorney to send out lots of cease and desist letters, letters to social media counsel, etc. Alternatively, move on. His family loves him and doesnt care.
Edit clarified letters.
