Have you ever wondered if it’s really possible to make money without having any money to start with? 🤔 Let’s take a closer look at some popular online opportunities and see if it’s truly achievable:
– Ecommerce: Requires funds for stock, storage, online fees, and paid ads.
– Dropshipping: Still needs a budget for monthly fees and paid ads.
– Amazon FBA: Involves upfront stock costs, monthly fees, and risks.
– Affiliate Marketing: Needs a budget for advertising and learning marketing skills.
But wait, there’s a lesser-known opportunity where you can make money without any upfront costs! 🌟 By connecting businesses with unwanted goods to potential buyers and earning a “finders fee,” you can build a network of contacts online without investing any money.
So, if you’re looking to start an online business without any money, consider exploring this unique business model and start building your network today. 💼💰 Happy hustling!
Providing a strong service is a total no-brainer, but gets lost in the “get rich quick” noise these days. Services doesn’t cost much to get started, sure some needs immense training but there are many that can be started with just a few days training.
My co-founders and I started with basically nothing – no funding, just us, a beat-up laptop, and the trusty public transport system. Took years of grinding, but we built a solid brand in startup financial strategy, tax & international expansion. Everything grew organically, step-by-step. Now, the business is thriving, and guess what? We’re finally at the stage where our money makes money after investing in assets!!
No.
When they say ‘no cost’ what they mean is no giant overheads like buying property or masses of wholesale stock.
But you can’t own a website without money.
You can’t register for some businesses licences without money.
You can’t get insurance without money.
You can’t get on the internet without money.
You cannot do business if you literally have no money to do it.
Yes, of course you can. But every single business type you laid out is a terrible option for someone working with limited to no funds.
E-commerce (which includes Amazon FBA) is extremely cash intensive. Dropshipping is just a terrible business model. Affiliate marketing is one of the hardest businesses out there nowadays.
The playbook for someone without money is simple. You have no money so you monetize the one thing of value that you do have: your time.
Service businesses can be started with less than $1,000.
Take a simple lawn mowing business. You can buy a cheap mower for under $200. Or you could hustle and find a lawn mower at a yard sale and snag it for $50. Maybe less. Then boom, you’re in business. Now all you need to do is go door to door to land customers. You don’t even need a phone or laptop.
If we want to be even more extreme and say we’re talking about someone with literally zero money to their name (they shouldn’t be starting a business to begin with, but just for the sake of the thought experiment), a lawn care business is still viable.
In this scenario, you just skip straight to the sales process. Go door to door once again. This time, you’re looking for clients that are fine with you using their mower. This is going to significantly cut the number of potential customers. But again, that’s the trade off of money/time. No money? You’re going to have to put in more time and be even more patient. But eventually you’ll find a few people that will happily let you use their equipment as long as they’re getting a cheap price. Now you have some cash coming in and can go buy your own mower. Which now opens up the rest of the market that previously wasn’t willing to let you use theirs. You got past the hardest hurdle and now you’re on a relatively even playing field with every other lawn care company in the area.
This playbook could be applied to dozens of local services one could offer.
Anyway, you need to be different or better in some way some how. either it’s the humorous social media content that makes you go viral or some kind of interdisciplinary skills that makes you stand out in sales, I think it’s possible but very rare. Or everyone would’ve been successful in business in general.
Without investment money yes. Without work. No. Difficulty. Extreme.
Yes, get a job and raise investment funds
Definitely hard. I think the best way to start is to actually do it on your free time with a goal to learn not to earn.
I would suggest having a regular job and save a little. Then use the money to finance your idea (whether it’s buying inventory, investing in infrastructure or learning a new skill).
I’m not able to understand why you limited the online business to just launching an e-commerce, all the examples you gave are related to e-commerce which is not the only business you can start online.
There are plenty of small businesses you can start without having a penny. You can start a ghost-writing service to write articles for website owner, you can start writing articles on your own blog, and then launch an email list with a 0 to very-low budget (50 USD/Year).
You can learn how to design or develop e-commerce websites for clients who want to launch their small business, and it’ll cost you just time, since there are a lot of free resources to do so.
If you’re a good designer, or you discovered that you love design, you can launch a Print-On-Demand business using Merch by Amazon or Redbubble which is easier to get in, and start making a decent amount of money. To get in this business you just need to work on your personal brand by posting a lot on IG and Pinterest which will drive a good amount of traffic to your designs.
Having money to spend on Ads will definitely help you see results faster, but it’s always possible to launch a business without spending anything on ads.
All the businesses I mentioned can be started as a side hustle beside your daily job, you’ll absolutely succeed if you were really focused on getting your hands dirty on it.
Best of luck
Difficult.
Besides the money, you really need some skills for ecommerce. Else everyone would make money which isn’t possible. Plus ecommerce you need sourcing/products. With dropshiping margins are thin or non-existant.
For online content, courses, affiliate marketing: Because you can start with 0 dollars, a lot of people try it. People with endless time & patience, or with very cheap labour (India etc.).

The building of that needed network is not simple. You will need time, reputation, skill.
There are no “easy money schemes”. And all YT’ers etc. who want you to think otherwise, just want to sell some trick (which if it was so good, they wouldn’t sell).
I’m doing digital marketing. It’s not that hard and you can do it anytime, anywhere on any device. [here’s a link](https://affiliates.maxbounty.com/register?referrer=678481) if u wanna try it. I made around 300 last week.
starr by asking everyone you know that you will help them declutter by helping them sell their stuff online. take at least a 30% fee for selling their stuff and get the ebay seller cred and keep going. scale up from there. my niche is empty video game boxes.
With a completely 0 budget? If you have parents who support you sure but if you have really 0 budget and no one to support you than i say not.
