Sending progress pics to your past personal trainer may seem like a daunting and awkward task, but it doesn’t have to be! Here’s a breakdown of whether or not it’s cringey and how you can go about it in a no-fuss manner.
### Why You Should Consider Sending Progress Pics
Sending progress pics to your past personal trainer can have several benefits:
– It showcases your dedication and hard work in the fitness journey they helped you start.
– It can be a way to show gratitude and appreciation for their guidance and support.
– They might feel proud and happy to see how far you’ve come since training with them.
– It can serve as motivation for both you and your trainer to keep pushing towards your fitness goals.
### How to Send Progress Pics Without it Being Cringey
If you’ve decided to go ahead and send your progress pics to your past personal trainer, here are a few tips on how to do it gracefully:
1. Reach out with a message explaining your intention behind sending the progress pics. Let them know how much their guidance has meant to you.
2. Keep the message light and positive. Express your gratitude and excitement to share your progress with them.
3. Attach the progress pics along with the message. Make sure the photos are clear and show your transformation effectively.
4. Be open to feedback and any kind words your trainer may have for you. Remember, this is a two-way street of encouragement and support.
### Is Sending Progress Pics Cringey?
In reality, sending progress pics to your past personal trainer isn’t cringey at all! Trainers often love receiving updates from their clients and witnessing the positive impact they’ve had on someone’s fitness journey. It’s a great way to show them the fruits of their labor and celebrate the progress you’ve made together.
### Final Thoughts
Sending progress pics to your past personal trainer can be a heartwarming gesture that strengthens the bond you share. It’s a reflection of the hard work and dedication you’ve put into your fitness journey, with their guidance paving the way for your success. So go ahead, gather your progress pics, and hit send with pride! Your trainer will undoubtedly appreciate the update and cheer you on from afar. 🏋️‍♂️💪
Remember, it’s never cringey to celebrate your progress and share it with those who’ve been part of your fitness journey! Trust your gut and spread some positivity by sending those progress pics.
In the nicest possible way, they’re probably not interested. You were a client. They might be interested if they can use them pictures to show others ‘look what you can carry on achieving’.
But you know your relationship with them and whether it’s appropriate. We don’t.
A “Thank you for helping me” is probably appreciated.
I think the photos might be a bit weird, perse maybe you can send them a message with some of your progress info like how often you go and how you look back on the times together and how it motivated you lol
Can you just post it on social and tag him with a thank you? Like “One year since I started lifting! Thanks @trainerguy for getting me started!”
nah, just send them.. go for it
I really love when people I coached send me updates even after we ended our journey together.
As a coach, the photos would be a bit weird. But a “hey, I’m still keeping up with training. Thanks for making a positive impact on my life” would be good.
I kind of hate the photos because I feel like it forces me to comment on their body, which I don’t like. It’s fishing for a compliment rather than giving one.
Oh, I’m in the minority here in that… I think that they might appreciate being followed up with. The turnover is so high and there can be points (a lot of points) in their (or anyone’s) career where they may think “am I making an impression” and your follow up could be really nice. I’d imagine the *vast* majority of people never follow-up. They may even be able to (with your permission) use your story to promote their work as a testimonial, helping their business. *But*, at the very least… you’re letting them know they helped you, which is presumably a little bit of why they got involved with being a trainer.
*Edit: and even if they find it cringey (and FWIW – I don’t think it is), they can just say “thanks” and move along.
