Hey everyone! ๐ Is it still a bad time to job hunt out there? I’m a HR Business Partner and I’m currently happy in my role, but not exactly thrilled with the leadership. I always like to keep my options open and I’ll be finishing my MBA in HR in July. Can anyone relate?
Here are some thoughts on job hunting in this current market and potential solutions:
– Consider networking virtually through LinkedIn or industry webinars ๐ค
– Update your resume and LinkedIn profile to optimize your chances ๐
– Research companies with strong leadership and company culture that aligns with your values ๐ข
What are your strategies for job hunting in today’s market? Let’s share tips and advice to help each other out! ๐ผ #CareerDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth
Don’t look for a job right now so that people like me can look for one at lower levels ๐
Iโve been looking for a few months. 5 yrs HR, graduate degree and professional cert. Had a lot of phone conversations, a few interviews, nothing stuck yet. So yeah Iโd say depending on your market youโll get some hits.
Yes. Itโs still a historically bad HR job market.
Itโs a tough market but that doesnโt mean you canโt look, in fact your degree is really only worth a substantial pay bump with that first job after graduation. Put out some feelers and see how it goes.
I have my only viewable to recruiters open to work thing on and I’ve had 4 recruiters reach out to me in the last 30 days. I’m Director level and 3 of these were VPs and 1 was a Director, all local in office.
The job market is absolutely horrid
definitely dependent on state are you willing to relocate? I have seen a turn and have been lucky but that was after 3 months of looking !! you got this ๐ฅณ congratulations on your degree!
Honestly if you are experienced I havenโt seen any issues. Iโm still getting pings for roles in Los Angeles with pay up to 150k.
Iโve gotten several interviews within the last few weeks, and Iโm only very casually looking.
If you apply to onsite or hybrid jobs and youโre in at least a medium-sized city, you have a good chance of getting an interview. Everyone wants fully remote jobs, and when I stopped applying to so many of those and started being willing to work hybrid, I started getting calls.
Itโs absolutely awful ๐
Very difficult to get an interview these days.
I think the best time to look is when youโre currently employed and not necessarily in a rush to find something. Go ahead and casually look
