It’s good considering freebies you get from this
Yes, it’s real. We got a decision back pretty quickly. Nothing to lose by applying
I’ve got my startup idea accepted in this program and currently in stage 3 out of 4. It is worthy, by all means.
You get some benefits in terms of pricing discount for LinkedIn premium, sales navigator and ads. Not huge but enough to learn how to use them. In addition you get some discounts in openai and other platforms such as close crm and many other tools that i don’t remember.
But the real deal is the azure credits (in usd)
1k in stage 1
4k in stage 2
20k in stage 3
150k in stage 4
This really gives you the opportunity to fully deploy and maintain your business infra at 0 cost for a maximum of 4 years.
I can provide more details if you need it.
will confirm, it gives credits. The credits are valid for 12 months they say though ( no clue if that means they’ll remove them after 12 months or the 12 month was the limit they have a partnership with them)
one of the perks that’s not listed as much is the github enterprise I feel. At the start, not so important, but once you get up to speed, github actions are a lifesaver and you can burn those pretty fast.
It’s very good. The free credits for Azure and OpenAI are worth it alone.
Acceptance is easy, but getting them to verify your domain (one of the requirements to advance to the next stage) is comically obtuse. They ask for the same things over and over again and continually deny your domain verification. I have been trying for months. Nothing out of the ordinary for our startup – domain and LLC all under the same ownership. Now they want me to schedule a call with their “support” staff – which I am guessing is really a sales call.
Yes, Microsoft’s Startup Founder Hub is indeed a real program aimed at supporting startup founders. The program provides various benefits and resources to help startups grow and succeed.
One of the benefits mentioned is receiving free OpenAI credits, which can be valuable for startups looking to leverage artificial intelligence technologies in their products or services. OpenAI credits allow access to OpenAI’s powerful language models and other AI tools, enabling startups to develop innovative solutions more efficiently.
In addition to OpenAI credits, Microsoft’s Startup Founder Hub may offer access to Microsoft Azure credits, which can be used for cloud computing services, as well as access to Microsoft’s network of partners, mentors, and resources. This network can provide valuable guidance and support to startups at various stages of development.
Other potential perks of the program may include access to Microsoft’s software and tools, technical support, marketing and promotion opportunities, co-selling and co-marketing initiatives, and access to events and networking opportunities.
It’s real and it’s great! Nice GitHub benefit!
Is there anything similar from GC or AWS?
I was accepted about 8 or so years ago. They gave me access to just about the entire library of Microsoft products for download so I just requested every single licence.
I have everything up to when Office 2019 released.
My startup is legally dead but the licences still work. I use them all the time.
