They say the job market is tough out there… and boy, are they right! 🙄 Has anyone else come across those intense “recruitment questionnaires” that seem more like an interrogation than an interview? I recently had a run-in with one, and let me tell you, it was no joke!
But fear not, my fellow job seekers! Here are some tips to navigate through those intimidating recruitment questionnaires:
– Take your time to read and understand each question thoroughly before responding.
– Be honest in your answers, but also showcase your skills and qualifications effectively.
– Use examples from your past experiences to support your responses.
– Double-check your answers for any errors before submitting.
– And remember, stay confident and positive throughout the process! 💪
Have you encountered a challenging recruitment questionnaire recently? Share your experiences and tips below! Let’s support each other in this tough job market journey. 🌟 #JobSearch #InterviewTips
“America Time”
Some of these questions are wildly illegal. Employers aren’t supposed to ask candidates about marital status, gender, and kids.
I don’t get it. This isn’t so bad. Sure some of the questions are a little off, but none is indecent or asks for information that’s off limits. It seems to be a design job, so I guess a bit of whack is normal.
Is that already to much for you? I could fill that in 10 minutes flat and wouldn’t feel a bit uneasy.
Is there anything more insufferable than the “corporate values” you’re supposed to adopt like a good little cultist while executive management embodies none of it?
absolutely deranged
I feel like this company has 8 rounds of interviews..
I know this is the UK, but shit like this happens in the US too and after my experience applying for a bunch of jobs I really think the government has the best processes. The government is much more efficient than the private sector, that’s for sure.
All the government jobs I applied for, the process was basically sending in a resume. No dumbass “personality” questions, no video interviews. The only problem is that it takes so long because so many people apply. I’ve never had 5+ rounds of interviews for a government job, and I’ve never been ghosted by a government employer ( the rejection just might be awhile in arriving).
The government gets a lot of shit for being wasteful and inefficient, but I think the private sector is more wasteful and much more inefficient.
That sounds like a sneaky way of saying they aren’t going to pay you during the training phase.
ETA – damn I didn’t even get off the first page, what are these questions?
As something with recruiting and career coaching experience:
These questionnaires are GOOD for job applicants. **Why?** They’re like RED FLAGS on a first date. 🚩🚩
**If a job asks you** ***”What do you think of when you hear the word “Skyscraper”*** **follow these steps:**
1. Apply elsewhere, 2. Refer back to step 1.
This seems like a scammer trying to extract personal information to use for phising.
What are some character traits that describe you? I hate stupid questions for one.
What’s your favorite sexual position? What do you like about it?
Tell us about a deeply traumatic moment from your childhood.
Where do you keep your wallet when you’re sleeping? Be specific.
This job: if you were a banana in a banana split boat, what kind of banana would you be and why? 🥴
Holy discrimination lawsuit Batman!
Just occurred to me that employers get their shorts in a twist if resumes are “too” long, but then turn around and ask for a boatload more info (not the nonsense in the Qs above) that could easily be covered in a longer resume.
And in the end they don’t read any of it because they don’t want to do the work. For a lot of people, especially the mediocrities you tend to get in HR, reading and thinking is a lot of work. Hard work, for them. So they resist it, but also demand more info because it’s not a great idea to hire someone with little info.
They paint themselves into this corner and then whine about it.
HR has to prove they add value or they will become jobless.
Please send a Loom recording of your credit card information, SSN, and bank account information 😏

This looks horrible. All of this can be learned with an actual simple conversation with someone on the phone, getting to know them, hearing their voice, the tone, etc. This just feels like fifth grade busywork bullshit.
I spoke with someone about offering them a temp job doing some marketing for a startup for me that could possibly turn into full time a few weeks ago and she told me that she was nervous that the opportunity wasn’t legitimate because I didn’t make her jump through enough hoops to land the project. By the time I finally made her believe me, she had pissed me off so I ended up walking away. Hell, after about 20 minutes on the phone with her, I felt like I was being interviewed.
The entire workforce/workplace/employer relationship has been destroyed by “processes” and “policies”. It’s awful, and it places a strong barrier between employees and employers. Employees feel commodified, and employers feel vulnerable to lawsuits and bad press.
I’m a small business owner, and the entire thing is just wrecked all around. I hate it.
You are correct. I do not understand these at all. You can remember them all you want, but they make absolutely no practical and operational sense.
1) Overdelivering sounds good. But if the client didn’t want the garbage you gave them….
2) All area’s of life….like in the bathroom?
3) How does one do this? That’s the clients thought. You only deliver the product they wanted.
4) This is a corporate religious cult and should be investigated as such.
All that and then you get to the €28k figure…what…the…hell?
Name the damn company doing this
Tell me about yourself.
I know how to read EEO laws and file suit and write a subpoena.
Please tell me this is a US company. This is a slam dunk discrimination case.
I died on the last question, ike if you didn’t spill your whole life in the previous questions. I would put the full history of tribal wars in Africa there
The missing letter is W
Actually fucking absurd if this was made by a recruiter or HR rep. instead of a 12 yr old. Please do name and shame
“I’ll take jobs I won’t be applying to for $600 Alex”
What country is this?
$28K/yr? That’s $13.461/hr. That’s assuming you don’t work more hours than the base 40, which at salary is probably required. Even if you get overtime after 40 hrs. it’d only be $20.192/hr. Hard pass.
Lie, lie, and lie again.
At what hospital were you born? Where did you go to elementary school? Are you the kind of person to have a first pet, and what might you name said pet?
Give us a general description of your character, wealth, and friend circle, and then tell us what times of the day we can reasonably expect you to be out of the house.
What’s your favorite way to consolidate wealth; raw precious minerals or signed sports memorabilia? Do you like to live alone or with others?
“What do you think of when you hear the word Skyscraper?”
Me jumping off of it rather than answering this stupid question
A lot of time on these hands.
Yeah, these job application questions… it’s quite something out there. And yes, the job market is really bad right now.. in marketing etc.
Sent a resume to one of those LinkedIn easy applies last week, had like four silly essay questions, I just answered tl;dr to each and submitted anyway, hopefully some human will see it and wonder if that company should be asking for such stupid responses
God, are you there?
Wtf is this….
