## Pay You or Call the Police? Sure.
So, back in December, I borrowed some cash from an ex-family member, agreeing to pay them back by the end of each month on the 30th. I paid off December early and I paid off January on time!
### February Drama Unfolds
But then some family drama happened and it was evident that this person thought they could hold my debt over my head. February rolls around, you know, the shortest month of the year, and they suddenly hit me up on the 26th, threatening to call the cops if I didn’t pay them back. The police don’t even handle civil situations like that, so that’s what reallyyy pissed me off. Then they ended up texting and calling me again to threaten me on the 27th and the 28th. Little to their surprise, they were going to get paid on the 29th.
### A Petty yet Hilarious Revenge
However, because they wanted to threaten me with silly little threats that couldn’t even be fulfilled, I decided to pay them back like this. Full balance. 100% Paid in full.
– $346 in pennies, of which I unrolled about $200 worth of pennies.
– $113 in singles only because I was tired of driving around and asking for penny boxes.
This person was so pissed about getting paid in pennies, they tried to call the police on me AGAIN for “harassment”, and the police laughed at them.
### The Unconventional Payment
[Check out the unorthodox payment method here.](https://imgur.com/a/YPbiS3V)
All of the boxes aren’t pictured, some were on the floor of my car. I really wish I would’ve gotten a picture of the unrolled pennies. I have to admit – I 100% laughed at myself when I finished unrolling them.
### Escalation and Changing Phone Numbers
I didn’t even mention that I had to change my phone number in the process because the threatening included them giving my number out to random people, who then proceeded to use text free apps and threaten me, physically as well. All of this and it was three days before the payment due date. So yeah, my petty revenge was 100% warranted.
In conclusion, sometimes in life, you have to get creative with your responses when faced with unreasonable threats. This story serves as a reminder that revenge is best served with a dash of pettiness and a sprinkle of humor.
So, would you choose to pay someone back in pennies and singles or call the police? The choice is yours, but just remember – a little creativity can go a long way in settling a debt dispute.
You borrow money, and pay the guy back in pennies.
Dick move.
This ain’t even revenge. This is just you being a dick.
Don’t mess with you. Got it. Just a penny for thought!
How childish.
That’s a level of petty I can only aspire to you. I like you! 😆
hahaha …”Yes, officer my __________ just paid me back all the money they owed me but I don’t like the way they did it!”
So, whatever country you’re in doesn’t have legal limits on the amount of coins you can use? That just invites this sort of thing.
petty revenge – best served in coin…
Bravo! Well played!
Good job hate when people pushy about money
So your ex family member actually called the POLICE because you paid him in pennies??!!! Ridiculous! And the police and everyone else should have laughed at his dumb ass! 👏🏾😂😂😂
Good penny revenge.
Definition of a distant relative…. a close relative who owes you money.
A written contract that specialises points such as due date/s is better than a verbal contract.
Folks really treat the most militarized police force in the world like the management of a fancy department store at which they are shopping.
