Tie minimum wage and rent together in a sense where rent is 3rd of monthly federal minimum wage income. Sign a bill where corporations are not allowed to own housing property of any type.

The minimum wage is equal 1/5th the cost of the 10th cheapest home or condo in a 5 mile radius. Once per year, employees or employers can request to have it adjusted. If there’s more than a 10% difference, the adjustment is accepted.
I like where your head is, but I think these things are too decoupled to matter. My thoughts are if I were a landlord, I’d just increase rent perpetually. Why? Because the minimum wage would go up in response if all other landlords did it and why wouldn’t they?
I think pegging it to CPI by some means and doing it every 12-24 months and penalizing secondary homes, or at the very least vacant secondary homes, would be better.
