Hey there, fellow entrepreneurs! 👋 I’m currently in the process of starting a cleaning business and I’m a bit torn on whether I should specialize in residential cleaning or commercial cleaning, or maybe even tackle both markets at the same time. 🤔
Here are some of my thoughts on the matter:
– If I focus solely on commercial cleaning, I might have a harder time landing contracts due to market saturation.
– On the other hand, if I offer both residential and commercial cleaning services, I could start by leveraging my personal network for clients and gradually expand into the commercial sector.
What do you all think? Do you have any experience or insights to share on this topic? I’d love to hear your thoughts and advice! Let’s help each other succeed in the cleaning business industry. 🧹💼
Commercial is where you have money. Look at signing long term contracts!
Having said that, do whatever comes your way! Don’t be picky in the beginning!
I honestly want to ask a question. What makes you want to open a cleaning business?
I’ve done 10-15 websites for new cleaning companies this year. At one point I did 3 from the same city in the same month. I know the cost to open one is low. But beyond that is there a real massive market for it?

Commercial comes with big bucks but potentially bigger headaches. I have a background in finance invoices would go through 2 weeks of processing before the checks got to my desk to sign and sometimes I’d get checks from months before. So be prepared to not get paid on time but the checks will be larger
