I was looking up some information about young men who get bullied for their body type (usually short / overweight) and I will never forget this statistic that they found an inverse correlation between boys doing – specifically – cross country / distance running, and being bullied for their stature.

Truth! Started doing HIIT about a year ago. I’ve noticed s massive difference in terms of endurance.
In what way specifically? How much pounding do you need to do and for how long for the sex to be “good”?

I’d throw stretching in as well. Get those hips and back loose. Makes the thrusting feel much more natural.
Not only cardio but having some strength and flexibility can really help too
For me, I found doing high rep hip thrusts helped a lot with my stamina and strength in the bedroom.
If you want to be better, do some sex cardio.
Can also just do a shitload of pushups. Pushups improve the physical muscles used during sex in a way that cardio could never do. Add in mountain climbers or up downs to make it also a cardio exercise.
Weird advice. There are at least a dozen other things that are more important for good sex.
It’s true. Hormones are elevated. Blood flow better so stronger erection, more blood flow to vaginas clitoris etc. Last bit not least you don’t get put of breathe. Cosmetic reasons as well

Wrong. It’s exactly the opposite. Ask around why football players dont have sex before the big matches. You can’t have both, either your energy goes to one place or the other.

Been at 40ish miles per week for a few years. Cant compare to prior really b/c part of starting running was quitting drinking. Which was a lot. So, too many variables at once.
But can confirm never finding myself winded from sex.
I know what has to be done but don’t know if I have the will to do it.

But avoid heavy cardio if you plan to have sex on the same day. I don’t know why (hormone balance maybe? heavy cardio increases cortisol and reduces testosterone) but you may have problems getting erect.
edit: Just to clarify, this is complementing OP tip. Definitely cardio will improve you sex performance.
I lost over 150 lbs over a couple years. I started with a single martial arts class and worked my way up to 8 hours a week in classes. Then I met my girlfriend. Turns out, her sex drive is as high as mine. It’s been a year.
I’m so glad I took up exercise because I’m fairly certain my heart would have given out months ago. I cannot stress how important cardio is.
You can also do better positions like lazy dog and side missionary (where you’re on her leg and both of you move on your side to each other). They’re much more comfy positions while giving both more access with your hands and more areas to kiss.
I almost never do the standard missionary or doggy style positions anymore, but if either is on the heavier side, I could see it being an issue.
Another suggestion is to always try and help your partner even if you’re on the bottom. Never just lie there if you can help it as even a little reciprocation in hip movements is appreciated.
But you’ll still have your limits if you’re out of shape for sure.
