Define high paying. A real estate appraiser travels A LOT and meets plenty of people. You don’t make jack in the beginning but with higher licensure and getting to better companies like cbre, you can get to six figures.
Really a hell of a grind tho, and to me personally not worth the time it takes to get to what the end goal is considering what the end goal is. The guy I work with seems to love it and all the traveling but it gets old really quick.

Medicine. But like you said yes, this field requires specialized training. And I don’t think nursing is actually high paying unless you specialize in a high paying area like anesthesia.
If you liked teaching before, why not try to do that? Teachers are in demand but not paid that well.
Have you looked into property management? Leasing, while still a sales role, is a lot of fun! It could even launch a career for you. I started as a cleaner and just left a job that was paying me $80K/year without a college degree.

Management consulting. You’ll be at your desk a lot. Working 12 hour days. But you’ll be traveling a lot and you’ll usually be working with a team and clients. Easy to rack up 8 hours a day in meetings.
Management. Especially mid-high level corporate management. Unfortunately to get there, you usually need to sit through the boring jobs.
Being a travel nurse?!
Nursing fits what you’re looking for. And has solid pay in most areas of the country.
Corporate sales. You usually manage a sales territory and travel to various customer sites to provide support (and bring in engineering technical support if needed), new product demos, check-in on teams already using your products, meet with prospective clients and provide product information, etc. Essentially form a relationship with various existing and new customers. Depends what your educational background is though.
Medical device sales. I have the whole state with all of the hospitals. I stay busy but it’s a good kind of busy. The pay is very very high. I made 200k last here and for 2024 I’m projected to hit 250k.
But my dream is to be fully remote so I can work and travel the world ideally
