Hey fellow tech enthusiasts! 👋 I’m currently a network admin, loving the hands-on work but looking to keep growing my income and skills. Here’s a little background on my journey so far:
– Started as an IT specialist (help desk) then moved up to systems admin and eventually landed as a network admin
– Recently hit the 6-figure mark, but I know there’s more room for growth
– CCNA certified, but it’s expired now and considering getting certified in Azure networking
I’ve seen colleagues go down the management path and it’s not for me – I thrive on technical challenges and tinkering with networks. So, my question to you all is: based on your experience, what path forward looks best for future growth opportunity in the IT field?
One solution I’ve been considering is diving into Azure networking certifications to expand my skillset and stay ahead of the game. Certifications are a great way to learn and my company covers the costs, so it’s a win-win!
What are your thoughts? Any other certifications or paths you recommend for someone in my position? Let’s chat! 💡💻
