Hey everyone! 👋 So I’ve got a bit of a dilemma and could really use some advice. I interviewed for a great ER role with a healthcare company, and my final interview was last week. But here’s the catch – the recruiter has been out on PTO all week and she misspelled the email address of her teammate for emergencies. 🤦♀️
Now, I have another job offer with a deadline today, but this healthcare company is my top choice. I haven’t received any feedback yet, and the workday portal still says “interview”. I just sent a follow-up note to the hiring manager, but I didn’t mention the other offer because I’m not sure if the recruiter relayed that info.
Any thoughts on what I should do next? Here’s what I’m considering:
– Reach out to the recruiter’s teammate via LinkedIn or phone if possible 📞
– Follow up with the hiring manager again, this time mentioning the other offer and your deadline 📧
– Consider asking for a deadline extension on the other offer if possible ⏰

Accept the one that you have the other for, and then wait to see how this one plays out.
Accept the offer you have and follow up next week on the offer you want. If you get that offer, you can let the other company know that you’ve changed your mind.
