For large scale itโs going to be EV battery recycling in the near future, thereโs not enough already and the technology for it is behind.
Thereโs different ways you can look at it. Booms I feel like are all about timing and having some guts to invest. Most people donโt have enough guts to risk money.
But what you can do is create your own business. If youโre handy there are a million different ways to get work. I own a pest control company and what I do atleast once a year is call every rental management company to see if they are interested in my service. Out of every 30 calls I probably speak with 3 people that are willing to give me a shot and take care of there rental properties. If youโre handy with home repairs it will be a great way to start. Investing in yourself is better than waiting for the next boom. My company almost did a million in sales and Iโm starting 2 more locations within the next year. I make more money and have more free time than anyone I know.
Defibrillators. Increased cases of random heart failures are pushing states to make having of them compulsory at every building bigger than a certain size. If you can be the supplier and maintenance of these in your town you will be rich.
Camper van rentals. They charge $400-500/night on west coast for these. New off the shelf ones are $150K and up, most people build their own. If you can do or fix up use ones and get a fleet, then youโll have a good business.
Sex toys.
I have a friend with a family run CNC factory that makes artillery shells and other empty types of weapons like grenades as a contract with the USA government.
Theyโre one of probably tens of thousands of weapons contractors they use.
Every year they make more and more money. Itโs actually insane how much the gov overpays lol. I remember working there as a teenager and as id take a piece out of the machine to sand, my boss would say โbe careful with that, theyโre gonna pay $15k for itโ and itโd be like a small metal ring that locks something together. We were pumping those out at like 100 units an hour lol.

Paper manufacturing machines. Paper products converting machines. Stuff like the Jenner Johnโs they make receipt rolls on. Paper converter companies buy and sell them all the time. Used, some going back fifty years old. They still have them in use.
Material handling. All the equipment used in shipyards, warehousing, mining; really anything logistics. Especially since most of this equipment is still petroleum based, with some key players starting to push EV options where feasible. Global trade will never die, since all natural resources are unevenly distributed across the globe.
What about disrupting traditional housing construction methods? Houses are ridiculously expensive and we know we can 3d print them or build them in factories.
A niche themed bar or tavern, like axe throwing, arcades, pickleball, or similar. I owned a ping pong bar until Covid killed it, and it was extremely popular with corporate parties and group events. Hospitality is a tough business, but it is very fun and satisfying. I’m trying to reopen it now.
PFAS removal and mitigation tech. Check out BioLargo
Go to Japan to see their machine business
Electric bike and scooter repair; guys doing it in my area are making more than automotive mechanic.
Also rental, maintenance service, upgrades, accessories, used model sales and just new assembly alone can be viable.
Pizza vending machines
Construction/heavy equipment. Skid steer, excavator, etc.
Are laundromats still a good investment? A guy I work with just bought one as part of his retirement plan and he’s making a decent return. Plus, I’m seeing a shift from SFUs to high density housing, so I would think laundromats are still viable.
Commercial carwash is equipment driven industry with long history of steady growth and resiliency.
Industry has converged on business model that relies on computer controlled equipment and only requires two to three people per shift to operate.
Express wash is gross net 50 percent business. Typical all-in is $4.0 to $5.0 million or more. About $1.0 million is equipment.
Semi-absentee is possible, not recommended, in about two years. Iโve seen sites cash flow positive year one.
In Europe heat pumps are all the rage right now. Gas heaters will be banned from new build homes in the next two decades and several governments provide extra help in replacing older heating units with heat pumps.
You can both sell heat pumps to construction companies, install heat pumps to existing homes, or offer heat pumps on a lease type of deal to houses where they pay no installation cost, but a monthly price based on use.

In the next few years, we may see a very powerful machine, Quantum Computers. It’s still in its infancy, there are many theories and conspiracies associated with it, but it could really be a game changer.
This new [linkedin page](https://www.linkedin.com/company/quantum-era/) brings the theories of quantum computing to the general public. It’s still in its infancy, but I think that’s what you’re looking for.
Carbon removal tech. Exponentially growing over past few years
GPUs are booming right now. Nvidia stocks jumped 235% this year thanks to AI and machine learning, which relies on GPUs.
I suspect the next boom is โvintageโ. What I mean is the next boom is buying existing businesses. Boomers are leaving the workforce and there are so many businesses this decade that need to move to new hands. There is likely a successful ATM or vending machine business looking to sell! There are tons of people working on the next disruptor business but I donโt see as much love for taking over what is already established and working.
Luxury toilets for events / venues. There needs to be more of them. Yes I would pay $5 for a super clean bathroom with little to no wait at a all day or multi-day event. One event I was at included passes for a shower in the back of a 18 wheeler trailer (3 day camp out event).
3d printing boom isnโt dead. Thereโs still plenty of people making money with print farms
Selling school busses in countries that have a hard time getting them. If you can buy some older school buses at auction, you can fix them, flip them and ship them to developing countries in Central/South America and Africa. Its a tough business due to mechanical costs, long distance overseas shipping and import/export taxes. But if you find the right channels, you can find them dirt cheap, and if you can find some govt contracts, you can almost do it completely from a laptop if you can stay on top of the communication.

ARM processors are the new thing. Itโs what powers all the AI software making the news. That and the new medicine class thatโs making everyone with diabetes and heart disease lose weight. They all use self injecting devices. Both of these things will change our society.
