#VaccineVsVirus #FluorideFears
So, I was thinking about this the other day and it really got me scratching my head. 🤔 Why do people get all worked up about what’s in a vaccine or fluoride in water, but aren’t nearly as concerned about catching a nasty viral infection or dealing with tooth decay?
I mean, I get it – no one wants to put unknown substances into their body or drink water filled with chemicals. But at the same time, isn’t preventing serious diseases like measles or protecting your pearly whites from cavities just as important?
It’s like worrying about the toppings on a pizza while ignoring the fact that the crust is burning in the oven. 🍕 Priorities, people!
So I have to ask, what’s your take on this? Are you more worried about vaccines and fluoride, or do you prioritize staying healthy and cavity-free? Let’s have a conversation about this because I’m genuinely curious! 💬 #DebateTime #HealthFirst
Remember, it’s okay to question things and have an open discussion. Let’s learn from each other and maybe even change our perspectives as we go along. Let’s get this conversation going! 💡🤗
They think the former is worse and/or don’t fully understand the extent of the latter.
Taking a vaccine or fluoridating water are things we do to ourselves, so they’re entirely preventable. If the health concerns people believe about vaccine or fluoride are true, it would be very concerning that the government caused that happen on a large scale by incentivizing it or coercing people to do it. Meanwhile you can’t blame someone for the natural spread of a disease like Covid, and there’s only a limited amount we can do in response to affect it.
Think of other man-made risks such as crime. Death through violence is pretty rare compared to natural causes, so should we say that murder isn’t a big deal? It doesn’t work that way, they’re not directly comparable.
Because their critical thinking skills right off the bat aren’t very good. You can show them as much evidence as you want but nothing will change their mind because they get vaccine and fluoride info off their mom facebook group, and obviously those people know what they’re doing rather than the doctors who went to school for almost a decade. In their mind there’s always the ‘big bad wolf’ to look out for, and obviously in this case it’s the government lying to them about things that have been studied for over a century by now.
Then that just starts the timer of the classic very unfortunate facebook status cycle of
“Help!! My son just contracted measles, i’ve been putting potato slices in his socks and they’re not working, any other suggestions?”
“Hey guys, so I tried your suggestions of tea tree oil mixed with eucalyptus and they aren’t really working very well. Anyone know what else I can do??? I’m desperate”
Then the posts stop, unfortunately.. Or rather;
“So update on Jr. He is now in the hospital with a full body rash and a fever of 107, nothing else we did worked and caved in. The doctors don’t know if he will make it”
And yes, unfortunately from a family friend not listening to anybody these quotes are nearly direct quotes.
Honestly surprised at this point that leaving a child unvaccinated isn’t child abuse. Sure, as an adult do whatever, natural selection will take it’s course. But no child needs to have the life experience of rolling a dice every week to see if they will contract a deadly disease that should have been completely eradicated by now because their parents read a study from >10 years ago that’s been debunked by a few hundred scientists
We’ve had the privilege of being protected from these diseases and their horrific consequences. We minimise the impact in our minds and focus on all the horrible ingredients in the prevention, convincing ourselves that the cure is worse then what we were trying to prevent. Unfortunately it will take kids dying and the resurgence of the iron lung before people start clueing in that measles, polio and even chicken pox are trivial matters.
They often think they won’t get diseases, or will only ever get mild cases, because of their natural, non-vaccinating lifestyles. Even if they do accept that they run the risk of getting sick, they think what could happen to them from vaccines would be worse.
Cuz the latter is just “God’s will”…
Nobody told them to be scared of it.
Or, rather, the people who told them to be scared of those things weren’t the right sort of people.
They think having something bad happen from fluoride or a vaccine is very likely, but having something bad happen from not getting it is very unlikely.
Because since we’ve had all these protections we haven’t really been exposed to the dangers enough to understand how common and how serious those can be. I’ve never known anyone who died from cholera or from measles or whatever. I only understand the dangers because I’ve been told but honestly I don’t understand them on a visceral level.
So if someone is exposed mostly to the kind of rethoric that makes them fear all those ingredients they are probably not exposed to enough to the information of what the alternative is. And, again, because they have no first hand experience, they fear the cure/preventative more than the disease.
When you have a lukewarm IQ, you fall for the jokes, scams, and bad actors on social media / TikTok / YouTube, etc.
They’d rather let “God” kill them than the doctor.
They forget that infant mortality was well over 40% before vaccines and also fair to realize they have their teeth and not fake ones by 30 before fluoride. Can’t help those who choose not to learn from history.
Their anti-vax beliefs are usually accompanied by other beliefs that solve that issue. For example, that all diseases are caused by toxins and they can avoid toxins. Or they’re always caused by diet and lifestyle and they have a diet or lifestyle that won’t cause it. Or it’s caused by doctors and they don’t go to those doctors. Or the body has the ability to fight off any disease naturally so they will fight it off. Those kinds of things
Because they’re highly regarded by their own volition
Because some people are literal sheep that just parrot the shit the guy next to them says. Many times, the guy next to them is an apocalyptic moron.
