Locks, toilet seats and new extinguishers.
A buddy of mine bought a house in my street, I told him to get the locks changed. He was given one set of keys when he loved in and told by one party there was only one set of keys. He got a call a week later say
Get medeco locks and a steel plate to prevent people from being able to kick it in. Medeco cannot be picked bumped or drilled
The second thing you should do is ignore any motherfucker who shows up at your door in the first two weeks, claiming to be from “the gas company” or any other generic service like that.
He might be from A gas company, but odds are it’s not yours, and by the time you figure that out, you may be signed up for a whole new service plan you never needed.
If your mailbox is keyed, do it for that as well. You have to go to your local post office (in the US) to facilitate this.
If youβre renting you may need to go through your landlord to have the locks changed. At a minimum you probably are required to give the landlord a key.
