🚨 Just quit a dangerous job with no notice and reported them to OSHA 🚨
Are you currently in a hazardous work environment where safety protocols are neglected? Have you experienced being in a workplace that puts your life at risk every single day? If your answer is yes, then you are not alone. Many individuals have gone through the same ordeal and have taken the brave step to stand up against unsafe working conditions.
I recently quit my job at an unprofessional CNC shop where zero safety procedures were in place. This included the use of multiple forklifts to load giant machines onto trucks, lack of lockout tag out procedures, and many more violations of OSHA standards. This morning, my supervisor had the audacity to confront me about my work habits, completely disregarding the fact that the company was putting my life in danger every day. I knew I had to take action, so I quit on the spot and immediately reported them to OSHA for their blatant disregard for workplace safety.
In this article, I will share my experience of working in a dangerous environment and the steps I took to ensure my safety and the safety of my colleagues. I hope that my story will inspire others to speak up against unsafe working conditions and take the necessary steps to protect themselves and their coworkers.
## The Unsafe Working Conditions
I was employed at a CNC shop that had a lack of regard for employee safety. Here are some of the dangerous working conditions I encountered on a daily basis:
### Lack of safety procedures
– The workplace had zero safety procedures in place, putting employees at risk of serious injury or even death.
– The use of multiple forklifts to load giant machines onto trucks without proper safety measures in place posed a significant risk to employees.
### Disregard for OSHA standards
– The company showed complete disregard for OSHA standards, including the absence of lockout tag out procedures, creating an environment ripe for accidents and injuries.
### Unprofessional behavior
– The lack of professionalism in the workplace was evident in the company’s failure to update their equipment or implement proper safety protocols despite having millions of dollars in the bank.
## Taking a Stand
I reached a breaking point when my supervisor confronted me about my work habits, completely ignoring the unsafe working conditions that put my life and the lives of my colleagues at risk. This prompted me to take the following actions:
1. Quitting on the spot
– I made the decision to quit my job immediately in response to the unsafe working conditions and the lack of regard for employee safety.
2. Reporting to OSHA
– I wasted no time in reporting the company to OSHA for their numerous violations of safety standards and endangerment of employees.
## Moving Forward
It is crucial for individuals to take a stand against unsafe working conditions and understand that their safety should always be a top priority. If you find yourself in a similarly dangerous work environment, I encourage you to take the following steps:
– Document the unsafe conditions and any incidents that occur as a result of the lack of safety procedures.
– Report the violations to OSHA or the relevant regulatory body to ensure that the necessary action is taken to address the unsafe working conditions.
– Seek legal advice and support if necessary to protect your rights and ensure that your employer is held accountable for their negligence.
In conclusion, no one should ever have to work in an environment where their safety is compromised. It is essential to speak up and take action against unsafe working conditions to protect yourself and your colleagues. I hope that my experience empowers others to take the necessary steps to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all.

Not to mention I got zapped by 240V electricity the other day and no one did anything or asked me to fill out paperwork
Bullet dodged
major bullet dodged-you 100% made the right decision
Multiple forklifts to lift giant machines into trucks? I know nothing about forklifts and even I find that concerning.
Thank you for your service.
How long did you work there in relation to quitting and why did it take getting questioned/quitting to do the right thing?
If you find out if there was an investigation or anything, update us
I would also suggest, if you can, enlist current and former co-workers in filing OSHA complaints. They may not take one report seriously but if they get multiple reports then that might get the ball rolling much faster. There is always power in numbers.
Should have pulled out the phone in front of him and asked if had the number to OSHA. F’M
I have you beat. I went on an initial interview and reported the employer to OSHA because it was so bad.
The worst part is OSHA has very little they can do once you are gone. Went through this with an employer not installing a ventilation system properly with a very toxic washout system. OSHA made it very clear many of the things they would have authority to do were limited by my having quit.
Yes, entirely messed up. The company was dumping other toxins for years in the backyard and they got popped for that and the clean up. They could have lost their entire company if OSHA has more access, which I got told ends once you leave.
Just my 2 cents
hope you get some kind of whistleblower money if it exists.
