Hey everyone! 👋 So, I’m hitting 31 and feeling a bit lost on the whole career path situation. I’ve been in retail for a decade, made my way into banking for better stability, but now I’m at a crossroads. Here’s a breakdown of where I’m at and what I’m thinking:
* Tired of customer service gigs with mediocre pay 💼
* Friends are in IT, but not sure if it’s for me 🤔
* Limited skills beyond retail and video-editing 🖥️
* Considering medical field, criminal justice, even Interpol 👀
I know many of us have been in this boat or are currently navigating it 🚣 What do you think might be a good next step for someone in my shoes? Any advice, suggestions, or personal experiences to share? Let’s brainstorm together and help each other out! 💡 #CareerAdvice #CareerDevelopment #CommunitySupport
have you tried puting all your money into the market and becoming a finance bro?
Don’t compare your life with others. I’m in IT, I have a home, career, children etc. but I still suffer from depression. Grass seems greener on the other side.
Just keep looking into what you like. When I was a kid I dreamt of being a cop, still do.
Another possible career option was pilot.
There are unlimited possibilities. Just think with a clear and abundant mind, and then do it. Don’t be afraid to start.
Don’t think just because you’re 31 you have to be somewhere. There’s time. If you were 40 I would still say the same. There’s time.
Remember colonel sanders started KFC at age 62.
At the end we all die, so just make the fullest of your time until you’re still here.
Join a trade. Go to all the union halls and apply. If you’ve smoked weed, just stop NOW. In 6 months you’ll have a clear career path. Show some ambition and in 7 years you’ll be able to get your own license and start your own company. Where I’m at a good tradesman working on their own (with a good reputation) can get $140 per hour.
